We are continually updating the site with new organizations as they are made known to us. Our goal is for resources listed to be relevant, easy to access, and organizations that have exhibited integrity and honor in getting help to our heroes and their families.  

Pensions for Veterans

Veterans and their families under the Veterans Pension and Survivors Pension benefit programs often do not know what options are available to them due to the complexity of annuities. NASV was founded to address the specific issues senior veterans encounter when applying for benefits from the VA.  We represent the unique interests of the senior veterans who bear the wounds of war.  Before us, there was no other organization that addressed the glaring void that existed for senior veterans trying to receive aid for homecare, assisting living and nursing home care.


Military branches and non-profits provide active duty service members, veterans, and their family member with ample funding opportunities for college. Funding and training for current personnel are usually designed to help you complete a certificate or degree program around your military schedule. Veterans have access to monthly school funding of up to $1,500 per month and career development training. Spouses and children of service members and veterans are often eligible for tuition, educational supply assistance, and child-care aid.

Goodwill Industries Mid-Michigan Inc

Goodwill Industries of Mid Michigan’s long-term role and mission has been helping individuals become self-reliant and independent. Services can include, but are not limited to, referrals for Work Assessment / Adjustment, Life Skills classes, Employability Training, access to computer labs, accommodations information, community access / referral, small business development, and individualized counseling for issues affecting employment and training. In addition, job ready candidates may utilize Good Temps, Goodwill’s temp-to-perm staffing solution. Goodwill is a flexible agency attempting to provide services responding to changing personal and economic needs.


SemperVET was founded to assist organizations across the country in better understanding the new generation of veteans. The generational differences, education, technology, leadership and motivation set veterans apart from their non-veteran peers. Our goal at SemperVET is to align veterans with careers, not jobs. Careers that are meaningful and appropriate based on skill level, experience, education and abilities. SemperVET is here to assist veterans and employers with making this connection.
LifeTime Unlimited Ministries

Their  mission is to help you live a life without limits by providing you support for the success and wellness of the whole you. A Christ-based ministry with an inter-faith philosophy, they promote devotion to God, care of the self, and love for one another; creating peaceful co-existence among all people. Certified and insured staff provide natural and holistic treatment modalities, ranging from nutritional support, therapeutic massage, and acupuncture to wellness & life coaching, spiritual cleansing, and more.

I Support Foundation

The mission of I Support Foundation is to increase awareness and support for US veterans who fight and/or sacrifice personal well being to defend the freedoms that we enjoy daily as US citizens.

I Support Foundation dedicates 95% of all proceeds to worthy, viable, and dedicated charities, which provide life-impacting support services for our men and women of the military.

I Support Foundation is working with Paramount HC Media to offer more than 4,000 job placement opportunities for returning veterans; as well as provide extensive healthcare needs beyond the capabilities of the Veterans Administration.

Furthermore, in addition to their own programs, I Support Foundation is working with various organizations that will verify to us monthly that 95% of all grant monies that we provide to them will be used to support our military men and women.

Serving Project provides services to disabled veterans. 
- We provide, at no cost to the veteran, longer distance transportation for veterans, anywhere in the lower 48 states, who need to get to specialized clinics that are 5 or more hours away from their home, who wish to bring their family with them, or both, and who cannot get to the clinic any other way.
- We are creating a network of contractors, and handypersons, to do minor home and auto repairs for a veteran, or their spouse.
- We are building temporary accommodation for homeless veterans.
- We are training disabled veterans with jobs they can work from home.
- We have people who will advocate for veteran benefits.

Pink Slip Mid-Michigan

Purpose Statement:  The goal of Pink Slip Mid-Michigan is to bring together businesses and job seekers from the greater Lansing region in an interactive networking environment with excellent workshops and encouraging personal development training.

A Black Rose

This organization's main goal is to show the nation that we will no longer stand for men and women in our armed forces being abused and sexually assaulted. They do this through the Black Rose Campaign.  Nothing is more painful than holding the trauma of abuse inside. A Black Rose aims to create a safe and-if need be-anonymous way to speak out on the topic of abuse in the military. This issue is real, and your support proves that.

Our military brothers and sisters serving this country still face startling statistical atrocities. Together, we must work towards the prevention of abuse and harassment. We believe that all members of the armed forces deserve to serve without fear of being abused by their fellow soldiers.

Arms Outstretched Ministry Inc.

This ministry focuses on the care and needs of the homeless, elderly, wounded military personnel, soldiers overseas, teenagers, prison inmates, foster children and the hospitalized. Their mission is to reach the community by sharing the love of Jesus through acts of compassion.

Honor the Sacrifice

This is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting public awareness and raising support for our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines and Coast Guardsmen and the programs which assist their recovery from both physical and emotional wounds, as well as those which facilitate their effective transition from military service back into productive pursuits in the civilian sector. Key to this is including the support of their Families, without which we cannot effectively function in the military. We further pay homage and keep strong the flame of remembrance burning for those who've made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom of their fellow man or who have yet to return home from the field of battle. "HONOR THE SACRIFICE" also encourages public introspection as to the courage, heroism and commitment demonstrated by our military men and women through the stories behind their sacrifices and trials of war.  Their resources include self-rescue, family resources, "support our Troops" resources and they are working on adding verified job listing resources for Veterans.

Military OneSource
Military OneSource is a Department of Defense-funded program providing comprehensive information on every aspect of military life at no cost to active duty, Guard and reserve service members, and their families. Information includes, but is not limited to, deployment, reunion, relationship, grief, spouse employment and education, parenting and child care, and much more.  MOS Wounded Warrior Resource Specialists that can assist veterans from any era struggling with navigating the VA health care or claims system.  Call the toll free number and ask to speak to the Wounded Warrior Specialist.  Access Military OneSource services worldwide 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at no cost, by calling 800-342-9647 or by going online to

Military Pathways

To help those who may be struggling, the Department of Defense teamed up with the nonprofit organization, Screening for Mental Health®, to launch Military Pathways (formerly the Mental Health Self-Assessment Program®). The program is available online, over the phone, and at special events held at installations worldwide. It provides free, anonymous mental health and alcohol self-assessments for family members and service personnel in all branches including the National Guard and Reserve. The self-assessments are a series of questions that, when linked together, help create a picture of how an individual is feeling and whether they could benefit from talking to a health professional.

The primary goals of the program are to reduce stigma, raise awareness about mental health, and connect those in need to available resources. The self-assessments address depression, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), generalized anxiety disorder, alcohol use and bipolar disorder. After an individual completes a self-assessment, s/he is provided with referral information including services provided through the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs. Military is proud to support military families find the care they need. Founded in 2006, is the largest and fastest-growing service used by families seeking care providers, providing a place to easily connect with hundreds of thousands of care providers, share caregiving experiences and get advice. The company helps families address the unique lifecycle of care needs that they go through - child care, senior care, special-needs care, tutoring, pet care, housekeeping and more. also provides tools and information to help families make safer and more informed decisions throughout the search and hiring process, including monitored messaging, access to background checks, recorded references, and an online safety guide.
Veterans For Peace

Veterans For Peace is a national organization founded in 1985 by military veterans opposed to the Reagan administration's war against the people of Central America. It includes men and women veterans of all eras and duty stations spanning the Spanish Civil War, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Persian Gulf, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Iraq, other conflicts and periods in between.

We, having dutifully served our nation, do hereby affirm our greater responsibility to serve the cause of world peace. To this end we will work, with others to increase public awareness of the costs of war, restrain our government from intervening in the internal affairs of other nations, end the arms race and to reduce and eventually eliminate nuclear weapons, seek justice for veterans and victims of war, and abolish war as an instrument of national policy. To achieve these goals, members of Veterans For Peace pledge to use non-violent means and to maintain an organization that is both democratic and open with the understanding that all members are trusted to act in the best interests of the group for the larger purpose of world peace.

The Women Veterans Health Strategic Health Care Group (Women's Health) provides programmatic and strategic support to implement positive changes in the provision of care for all women Veterans.

VetQuest is a one-stop resource of college and post- military career information for transitioning veterans. VetQuest’s Military Skills Translation Tool will help match the skills you have learned with compatible civilian occupations. The built-in GI calculator can show you how much assistance you have earned. VetQuest’s WorkZone lets you research and compare thousands of career options, and can guide you towards a college offering additional and relevant education.

Founded in 2005, CollegiateZone (CZ) Enterprises, LP, Houston, Texas, provides a continuum of dynamic and innovative student workforce, college, and career readiness applications, including utilities that self market and direct students in their pursuit of "Life After High School Success", ultimately enriching lives and our communities as a whole.  In addition, CZ serves public and private school systems and organizations, nationally and internationally, with administrative tools to streamline staff recruiting and placement and student enrollment processing. - Women Veterans Hub

Business and Professional Women's Foundation

Business and Professional Women’s Foundation (BPW Foundation) was the first foundation dedicated to conducting research and providing information solely about working women. Since then, they have partnered with employers to create successful workplaces that embrace and practice diversity, equity and work-life balance convening employers, working women and policymakers to promote systemic workplace change.

They offer resources for women and women veterans, and mentors to help women veterans transition back to civilian life.
Point Man International Ministires - Michigan

Point Man International Ministries (PMIM) is run by veterans from all eras, nationalities and backgrounds helping military members, veterans and their families nationwide and around the world. Although, the primary focus of Point Man has always been to offer spiritual healing from PTSD, Point Man today is involved in group meetings, publishing, hospital visits, conferences, supplying public speakers for churches and veteran groups, welcome home projects and community support. Just about anywhere there are Vets, there is a Point Man presence. All services offered by Point Man are FREE OF CHARGE.
